[Host] Legion Wars
Study and Preparation
1) You should read the contest guidelines to see how many points are assigned to the winners of the Legion prototype challenges:
https://articles.p1games.com/introduction/contest-guidelines
2) You need to teach somebody how to lead the start of the introduction event before this meeting because you will definitely run over time since this meeting is quite long. Use helpfulness to incentivize somebody to take this on further.
https://articles.p1games.com/volunteers/leading-initial-onboarding-distribution
3) You have to be aware that, at the start of the meeting, the legions will post their best game that teams are to play. But this text might get buried under new posts over time.
When this happens, you will need to link people back to the original game posts, where they can see the different games to test and where to leave feedback on those games.
If you hover over any post in Discord, you will see a ... in the top right corner. You can click that and click on Copy Message Link. It will give you a direct link that you can paste anywhere in Discord. When people click it, it will send them scrolling up to that post.
Try this out beforehand to understand how it works.
4) Go through the usual checklist that you do every day but instead of asking just for people to tag their teams, you should also ask them to come up with the Introduction Giver for the day.

🟧🟧🟧 Basic Introduction
🔸 Say loudly: Welcome everyone! My name is ____, and I'll be your host.
🔸Say: We really believe in starting with the smallest possible prototype when it comes to building great creations. Keeping it simple and adding complexity later is critical. That's why today we will be celebrating Legions that have put forward a great prototype.
🔸Say: In as much as we're competing today, let's remember that the [P1] spirit is about empowering each other to succeed. Our goal is to get as many capable projects as possible to the finish line.
🔸Say: Don't be embarrassed to show off what you've made today. This is a means of gaining real-world experience by watching other people use your creations.
🟧🟧🟧 Instructing Teams to Join Legions
🔸 Say: Teams that are not yet in a legion, you can submit the single game you're working on, while divisions or legions submit one of the games they're working on. However, you cannot submit the same game twice within one Sprint Cycle. So, if you submitted your game to the first Legion War, you cannot submit it again to the second and third.
🔸 Say: Teams that are not yet in a legion, we are going to welcome you to join a legion today.
🔸Say: Legions that are seeking a team, please post your legions goal statement, organizational chart, and values in the chat as images right now.
🔸Paste:

🟧🟧🟧 Preparing Introduction Givers
🔸Say: To participate in this event, teams must have an Introduction Giver appointed.
🔸Paste:

🔸 Ensure the introduction givers are in good order to give introductions and then move on to the play testing.
🟧🟧🟧 Playtesting Feedback Preparation
🔸Say: Everyone open a new word document where they can prepare feedback for each game they playtest.
🔸Say: We will write feedback for each game in the document.
🔸Say: Write down the title of each game.
🔸Say: Add a # before each title so when you post it into Discord later it will become a title.
🔸 Ask everyone to share the screen they'll be using to play the game. Make sure everyone is sharing their screen.
🔸 As people share their screen, ask them to show them the document that they're preparing for feedback and ask them to paste this rubric in that document:

🔸 Find the link to the Legion area you posted earlier and paste the copy message link into chat now so people can go up there and start leaving feedback.
🔸Say: When we do the votes, you will be able to see who votes for each game, and everyone here can join me in verifying that everyone who votes has left feedback beforehand.
🔸Say: Now, we want everyone who has made something that was tested today to post their one-sentence summary and a link to their project itself.
