🔸Say: Set up a 10-minute timer and say "Aye" when done!
🔸When all have set a timer... say: Take a break.

🔸 Take a 10 min break (optional)

🟧🟧🟧Tiers Explained

🔸Paste this in chat, and read it out loud:  These elections exist not to create competition within teams, but rather to select and pick people to work on the toughest projects that have the biggest impact. Ranking up leads you to less casual projects, so sometimes people don't want to rank up and that's ok too!

🔸Paste this in chat, and read it out loud:

The tier system here at [P1] is a ranking system that ensures that capable people are connected with other capable people as they rise through the ranks.

The current team's tier is not the same as the individual members on that team. The tier of the team is defined by its elected leaders' tier. During a jam, a team might help onboard people that are not within their tier and therefore have a diverse set of tiers within a single team. Today, we're going to start the process of splitting up our teams based on those tiers.

Teams split from the same group at the end of a jam are automatically placed in the same allied division. We're not splitting into different teams but evolving into a division where multiple teams are led by a single overall leader.

These divisions work on different games and projects but share the same processes and values.

Divisions members can change teams within their tier and contribute assets to other higher tier teams without being on those teams without buying a separate join pass, creating an advantage for the division.

The leader of the current team is the leader of the division. They can choose which team gets to continue the current project although only one can and they can choose none. They should do this as a servant leader, helping the team come to consensus.

🔸Say: If you understand, say YES in chat or hit 👍on the message posted. If you have questions now is the time to ask them.

🔸Say: First we need to understand what tier we are in.

🔸Paste this in chat, and read it out loud:

T1 - People who have never submitted in an Ignite Jam.
T2 - People who submitted in any Ignite Jam.
T3 - Those T2 members of an Ignite Jam who submitted with their team AND got elected to the top 50% of their team.
T4 - For those who were elected to the top 50% of a T3 team. Must have been T3 when joining the team.

If you were T1 and properly submitted with us during this round, you are officially [T2]. Congratulations!
If you were T1 and our team is T2, this means those who are elected to the top 50% today move on to T3. Don't worry, those who are given a second chance next time.
If you were T2 and our team is T3, this means those who are elected to the top 50% today move on to T4. Don't worry, those who are given a second chance next time.

🟧🟧🟧Elections

🔸Say:  Now we're going to elect the top 50% of our team!

🔁 Say only if you a team lead by a T1 member: If we are a [T1] team, this election does not change who moves up to [T2] because finishing in itself is worth ranking up to [T2]. However, it's good to know who the standout candidates on this team are so that we can recognize them in our next meeting on Thursday.
🔁🔁🔁 Determining Your Team's Tier

T1 - Submission -- For teams who's leader has never submitted to a jam.
T2 - For those who have already finished 1 game jam.
T3 - For those who have finished 1 game jam and been elected to the top 50% of their team.
T4 - For those who were elected to the top 50% of a [T3] team.

🔸Say & paste:
Keep in mind that the election we do will highlight people who talk more. Therefore, the results will not be perfectly accurate. However, you should be aware that speaking up often and being visible is important in getting promoted in most jobs too. If you're not elected, it doesn't necessarily indicate poor performance; it might mean your contributions haven't been adequately noticed. Seek opportunities to enhance your visibility and engagement with the team.

🔸Say: We have a form that explains what the election is all about.
🔸Say: We should each fill that form privately.
🔸Say:
But first we need to make a list of all the people on our team. Let's do that together.

🔹Action: Make list.

🔸Say: On Thursday we will reveal who got elected.

🔁 Say only if you a team lead by a T2+ team: Those who are elected rank up and form one team and those who don't form another and choose a new project.
🔸Paste and say: Let's all do team evaluations now: https://form.jotform.com/240804578565970

🔸Make sure EVERYONE on your team fills out this checklist before Thursday's meeting, use private threads to message people 1-1 to ensure they all do. https://form.jotform.com/240804578565970

🔸Make sure you (the lead) follows the instructions sent to you via email BEFORE Thursday's meeting.
