FAQ
This FAQ has been designed to answer the questions people ask our chatbot, which it was not able to answer successfully due to a lack of documentation.
How do I create a thread?
1) Visit #🏡︱channels-tickets
2) Click (+) (on mobile, you will need to tap in the typing bar first to get the thread icon).
3) Click 🧵
If you want the conversation to be private, check the box and tag the person you want to message in the thread.
Why does [P1] restrict the use of direct messages in Discord?
Do not add anyone in our organization as a friend on Discord, and don't send them messages in Discord.
Instead, use platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Steam, or anything else.
As a high trust community with lots of game testing, we are extremely vulnerable to viruses, particularly one type of virus. Which asks people to test a game, but is actually a virus which hijacks your Discord account spreading the same virus to everybody you're friends with.
However, there is a critical privacy reason too, people share sensitive information in our high-trust community, every once in a while they want their content to be deleted and therefore all of it must be kept in one place so it can be absolutely scrubbed if they request that.
Are we allowed to record meetings?
No. You should, however, expect to be recorded in the main meetings channel where we do our daily meetings because we often host events there.
What happens if I want to continue working on the same game I signed up to work on as a B team member?
You cannot, you have to split off from the main team Unless you get somebody to trade spots with you from the A team.
How do I credit a game that I worked on during my time at [P1], while uploading the game on my portfolio?
See https://p1oc.net/opensource.
How does one create a space?
1️⃣ Find "#🏡︱channels-tickets"
2️⃣ Create a Space
3️⃣ Click the link in the message it sends you
4️⃣ Use /add to add our example account "You" to your space.
Why can't I see certain channels?
If a channel on our Discord is inaccessible or says no access, the reason usually has to do with permissions. Either you haven't yet signed up for our Discord, or if you have signed up for our Discord, your Ignite Participant role has expired. You need to go ahead and join any voice channel to get it again.
